PS I haven’t been posting because I’ve been tied to my desk writing essays and (occasionally) to the bench binding books and, even more occasionally (on the cooler days) outside welding bits together to make a 4.5m tower. I guess the latter should be another story.
PPS Also been spooked by the bushfires just up the road. The temps here for the past three days have again gotten up to 48°C and the paddocks around us are so dry they’re crackling. So I’ve been outside making sure of the firebreaks, clearing stuff away from buildings etc. Yeah, we did do all that at the beginning of summer but the late rains undid most of it! Have also been installing irrigation in the dry gardens around the house - feels good to be doing something. Like I said: spooked. And grateful to be humming.
